Dr. Fernando Cardeño López is a chemical engineer with a master's degree in engineering and a Ph.D. in environmental engineering, all obtained from the University of Antioquia. He currently serves as a Specialized Professional at the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME), where he supports the development of strategies for integrating bioenergy into the national energy matrix, contributing to the transition toward renewable and sustainable energy sources. His professional and academic background has focused on the assessment of alternative energy resources, environmental sustainability analysis, and the development of models for optimizing bioenergy systems.
