Grigory Ibrahim Massy Sánchez obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, his M.Sc., and his Ph.D. in Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes, Bogotá, Colombia. He conducted his postdoctoral research in computational electromagnetism at Télécom Bretagne, France. He has worked at the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME), an entity under the Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy. He has also been a lecturer in linear programming at Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia. His research interests focus on improving existing models and developing new modeling approaches, technical-economic simulation, as well as optimization and simulation techniques.
