Julián Ruíz
Julián Mauricio Ruiz Rodríguez is a lawyer and specialist in Administrative Law from the National University of Colombia. He holds a Master's degree in Public Law from the Externado University of Colombia, has completed a Master's in Public Management from the International University of La Rioja, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Digital Law at the same institution.
He began his professional career in the private sector before transitioning to public service, where he held positions in entities such as the Government of Cundinamarca and the Attorney General’s Office. In the latter, he distinguished himself as a Specialized Prosecutor and Manager of the Special Fund for Asset Administration. Among other recognitions, he was awarded the Enrique Low Murtra Medal for his outstanding service.
In 2018, he joined the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic as Legal Director, actively contributing to recent reforms in fiscal oversight. He later served as Deputy Comptroller General from May 2020 to May 2022, and since then, he has been serving as the Comptroller of Bogotá for the 2022–2025 term.
