Liliana Śmiech serves as the Director General for International Affairs at Ludovika University of Public Service and Chairwoman of the Warsaw Institute. Additionally, she is Research Assistant at the Krakow University of Economics, member of the Polish Economic Society, and advisor at the Energy Strategy Institute. Previously, Śmiech served as President of the Warsaw Institute and remains member of the Foundation Council of the Central and Eastern European Council. She is also part of the Advisory Board of the Future Potentials Observatory. Alumna of International Business at the Krakow University of Economics and Energy Studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, she has professional experience in the European Parliament and leading multinational corporations. Her main areas of interest include energy transition, security, and geopolitics. She has also co-authored research on energy poverty in the household sector. In her private life, Śmiech is sailor, beekeeper, and certified judge and coach of rhythmic gymnastics.
