Mauricio Andrés Palma is currently the Deputy Director of Hydrocarbons at the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME). He is an electrical and electronic engineer from Universidad de los Andes, with postgraduate studies in Economics.
He has extensive experience in planning and regulation of the natural gas, refined products, and hydrocarbons sectors, as well as in the electricity sector. He possesses knowledge of energy markets, industrial consumption, and the analysis of measures to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to the country's environmental commitments.
